College & Alumni Committee

The College and Alumni Committee provide an ongoing connection to Temple Isaiah for our young adults during first few years after high school. Our goal is to support their Jewish identities by maintaining a link with their home community and by giving them tools to continue to lead Jewish lives away from home. We try to nurture their connections to Temple Isaiah, to one another, to the Jewish communities where they live, and to the wider Jewish world.

The committee, with the generous support of the Sisterhood, sends very popular holiday packages to kids at college or other post-high school activities. We maintain an email list to send them messages from the rabbi and other information and that they can use to communicate with each other. We also coordinate occasional get-togethers for kids who are home for vacation.

We welcome volunteers, and it’s a lot of fun to help assemble the packages.
